It's just that I hope RPP was introduced to PC more. We are meeting with Peter this August to prepare release. I'm not quite there with my English, so what does the 'jijijiji' Thank you, again! I placed an order a few weeks ago and I don't mind if they're all more or less on backorder. PS: I remember, it was you who gave me the advice on the US Calumet Photo when I was trying to find those magenta filters. Besides, I'm a hopeless romantic and if I get a chance to bring my digital photography a bit nearer to film, I'll do it (not that I have much experience with developing and printing film, heh). (And no, Finland is not a part of Russia, but a neighbouring country. It's a bit silly, I know, but as I live in Finland, I feel it would be nice to support the "local" guys - even though they might not live in Russia. Hope that Iliah gets his hands on RML soon, we have waited a long I'm not quite there with my English, so what does the 'jijijiji' mean? : With the D2x, and D2hs as a matter of fact, to have all the control To interrupt the speech of others, especially with an unwantedīoth are the best, for me, and "as good". PS & OT: I tried to find out what the phrase 'chime in' really meansĪnd freeDictionary gave me these two alternatives:ġ. Using ACR, so that why RPP sounds like the dream come true. Simulating a film-look is a struggle when I'm RML has some of thoseĬharacteristics, yes, but anywhere near to the same extent? Now, I keep reading that RPP is a serious try at simulating the film Hope that Iliah gets his hands on RML soon, we have waited a long time indeed. I will still to both( and them alone) jijiji. I still shoot when possible with the D2x, and D2hs as a matter of fact, to have all the control on processing with RML in pc. These two are in practive and regarding the results (obviously)?īoth are the best, for me, and "as good". So, there are two raw converters that more or less turn me on: It's not so quick to convert, but that's not so important (and it's not that slow anyway). I'd take capture one over RPP if I needed to enlarge a shot to, say, 40mp and didn't care much about the colour RPP over C1 for most everything else. Demosaicing artifacts are not particularly low, I would say (nor are they high, though). I find the opposite (with a d200): colour is generally its strongest point, followed by very high frequency noise (thus not so hard to remove/not so obtrusive). You're willing to work at it, you can get a very detailed, lowĪrtifact conversion and can fix the colors in Photoshop later. Typically under saturated and not very accurate by default. I also have a very hard time getting the colors "right" from my D3. I find the ability to navigate using tab and change settings using the arrow keys great, and in that respect I find it more natural than eg capture one (plus no tabs). The interface leaves a great deal to be desired 'Nuff said. ![]() I like the concept (i.e., best possible output from raw input), but
